Naga DDB Tribal made its debut at the 2017 Kancil Awards finishing as the first runner up with two golds, five silvers, eleven bronzes and nineteen special merit awards. The agency previously known as Naga DDB has in recent months rebranded and repositioned itself in its current manifestation as Naga DDB Tribal with an advancement in digital, data and media capabilities. The evolution in the agency’s setup led to submissions and wins in a multitude of categories including technology, media as well as that of integrated campaigns.
Amongst its clients that received awards included Astro, Digi, Prudential, Petfinder as well as Protect & Save The Children which picked up the Advertiser of The Year Award.
“Winning stuff at award shows is obviously nice,” said Executive Creative Director, Alvin Teoh. “It’s a little pat on the back every now and then from your peers. A little affirmation is not a bad thing. But this is just the tip of the iceberg and there is still much to do and far to go. So the struggle to immerse ourselves in life and the journey of us as a species continues. To boldly seek out the stories that matter and then use everything in our arsenal to creatively and effectively share that with everyone on behalf of the brands we serve. And hopefully, in between all that we do, we would create magic and get another official pat on the back from the industry. Yeah, that would be nice. To everyone who won stuff, well done. To all who didn’t, keep trying. Creativity is energy. It has a life of its own. Let’s see what happens in the next award show.”
